Any of you tried the so called SAND POLISH??

I have always been curious for the longest time. Curious why it is called "SAND" polish. So when I finally saw a collection from CHIC on the shelves of Robinson's supermarket I both all 5 of it! hahaha What can I say, since it was really cheap for only 31.75pesos(0.78usd) each.

To see and FEEL the Sandy effect, I only applied 1 thick coat of the polish and without top coat. And what can I say, I totally love love love Chic's Sandy Collection!!! (^__^)

Nfu Oh - 61

Hello sweeties! :)

Today, I'll be showing you this really nice blue holographic polish from Nfu Oh 61.

The thing I don't like about Nfu Oh is that application can be a bit hard. You can get lumps. So it is advisable to first apply Nfu Oh AQUA BASE. :)

Caronia - Lounge

A belated Merry Christmas and advance Happy New Year everyone! ♥

When I first saw Caronia's Lounge (from their Bright Nights Series) on the shelf of a local supermarket, I immediately got a hold of it. As you may have known I'm now very fascinated with polishes that has a "FOIL'' type effect. Plus Lounge has this Christmas-y color that I love! :)

Lounge in my opinion when applied on its own is a bit on the sheer side. So you may have to put more than 2-3 coats to achieve a nice effect. But what I did was layered it over Moss, another Caronia polish (swatches from a previous post CLICK HERE ) I really liked the outcome of my little experiment. hehe :)

I will certainly buy the other shades from this collection!

Bobbie - Weng Weng (HOLO)

This post is dedicated to ALL holo polish lovers out there! ♥

As you may have known, I'm not really a fan of holographic polish though I have a few in my stash. But since I wanted to show everyone some really awesome local polishes, I bought Weng Weng from Bobbie another well known brand here in the Philippines. They actually have I think 6 shades from the collection which all are holos. But for me, WengWeng was the most outstanding of them all. No worries, I will try to get ahold of the other shades and show it with you all. :)

Some added info.,
when I do swatches for my blog I don't put top coat. And I usually take photos outdoor on natural light. I only edit my photos to crop it and add watermarks.

Color Club - Wild At Heart

Hey hey I'm back! :)
Oh my gosh! I can't believe that I actually have 112 lovely followers!!!

For today's post, I'll be showing some photo swatches of Wild At Heart from Color Club. I'm not a big fan of holo polsihes. The only thing I like about with this particular shade is that it kinda looks really nice on my nails! hahaha. Please agree with me! (^__^)

For added info. I got Wild At Heart from a nail swap about a year ago! ♥
Oh and it also works good for stamping. Don't you just like polishes with double
purposes? I do!!! Saves me money. haha. :)

You're probably asking, WHY THE HELL DON'T I LIKE HOLO POLISHES??
Well it's because in my opinion, you only get to see the beauty of it when under the
sunlight. Am I right? Please don't get me wrong. I love ALL kinds of nail polishes. 
But I love the glitter ones more. :) Specially those indi polishes I have been seeing on
other blogs. Oh they are to die for! Too bad I can't have one. But it's ok! :)

Caress - Christmas Polka

I really don't know why so I'm in love with glitter polishes.
It's like everytime I see one, my eyes goes like this (♥.♥) hahaha. I just wish that the local brands here would produce MORE varieties of it.


CARESS is a local polish brand here in the Philippines. I bought this one for only 24.75PHP (0.59USD). Ain't it cheap? Plus application was very easy and it dries fast for a glitter polish. :)

OPI - Swimsuit...Nailed It!

I'm sick for 2days now... :( Fever. Cough. Sore throat! huhu :(
But I still have to do ALL the chores in the house. Being the eldest sister with your parents working in Kuwait can sometimes be very tiring. But it is worthy when I see my sisters excel from school. ♥


Being sick won't stop me from posting. :) When I do swatches for a blog post, I don't apply a top coat. Cos I wanted everyone to see the actual shade of the polish. I'm not really a fan of any blue shades. But OPI's Swimsuit...Nailed It! is so pretty!!! It has an effect similar to nail foils.

Applied 2coats on my nails. My only problem was it STAINED my nails when I took it off!!! :( Yes I forgot to apply my base coat. But based on my experience with OPI polishes, it never stained my nails. That's the only thing that kinda sucks for me. In all it is a nice color.

***PLEASE tell me if I haven't followed you back ladies. Through email would be nicer. :)

L.A. Colors - Pink Sizzle

Hello girls! Last weekend I bought a few nail things. Will post photos on my next post. :) One polish from that haul is L.A. Colors' PINK SIZZLE bought it for 89.00PHP(or 2.12USD) at SM Fairview department store. I instantly fell in love with the color! :) Though it was a bit sheer for me. But in all application was very easy. Plus, it already has a shiny finish. You might find the shade a bit darker on my photos. It's because I first applied a dark purple polish then I applied 2 coats of pink sizzle. NO top coat. I honestly loved the outcome! ♥ Ooohh and I'm really really loving the length of my nails. :)

Bobbie - Solar Burst + Nail Art

Hello! As promised I will be sharing a swatch from BOBBIE, one of the most known local brand in nail care here in the Philippines. One of my favorite brand. Aside from it is affordable, the polish itself is really of good quality. :)

I went to Watson's (local drugstore) the other day to buy some cotton balls, polish remover, and some candies. Of course being a polish lover I couldn't resist to atleast take a glimpse at their nail polish station. :) Though there are a few colors that I liked, one stood out. It's Bobbie's SOLAR BURST! As you all may know I'M IN LOVE with GLITTER polishes!!! ♥♥♥ So I have to get it! Plus it only costs 35.50PHP(0.83USD) cheap right?? It also comes in a very cute bottle. :)

By the way, I've been seeing a few blogs that's talking about SPECTRAFLAIR. Ooohhh I wanna have those too. One on my wish list. (♥_♥)

Solar Burst has a clear jelly base as well, but it has hex glitters in more colors: red, blue, silver, green, & gold. Also contains a good amount of gold shimmers. :)

Franken: Transit Of Venus

Hello everyone! Wow I now have followers! YEY!!! :) Thank you girls! :) Hoping for more to come. hihi.

As what I've said on my last post that I like watching video tutorials and reading blogs as well. While reading blogs, I've seen that a lot of nail enthusiast have been creating franken polishes. So I've decided to make one. Honestly I forgot the polishes that I put in it. SORRY! But as soon as I remember it I'll update this post. Anyways, all that's in my mind was I wanted something glittery since I LOOVEEE glitter nail polish. :)

So after doing some experimenting, hahaha. I got the color that satisfied me. Now the problem is I was clueless on what to name my polish. Of course it has to be a unique one since almost all nail polish lovers have made their own frankens. While staring at the swatch I made on my nails, out of nowhere I suddenly remembered TRANSIT OF VENUS! Here's an article I've read from a local news site:

"A transit of Venus occurs when Venus passes directly between the sun and earth.
Venus appeared as a black dot moving slowly from left to right across the southernmost part of the sun’s bright disk. The transits of Venus occur in pairs with more than a century separating each pair. Only eight events have occurred since the invention of the telescope starting in 1631, 1639, 1761, 1769, 1874, 1882, 2004 and the June 6 event, PAGASA said. The 2004 and 2012 transits form a contemporary pair separated by eight years. The next two transits of Venus will occur on 2117 and 2125, PAGASA said."

Ok I am laughing my butt here. This post is soooo long! haha. A bit of extra info. isn't bad right? So that is the story behind my franken polish TRANSIT OF VENUS. It's now time to show some swatches! FINALLY!!! haha. :)
